Winston Churchill said, "We shape our buildings and they shape us", a powerful notion embedded within the subconscious [that] causes changes in the emotions and feelings of those who see it, use it and live it. Organic architecture, which stems from a reverence of the natural environment provide a unique perspective and insight into the understanding of this human psyche. Organic buildings grow from the ground, responding to its program, the character of its occupants, the time in which it is designed, the conditions and qualities of its site [and thus] physically connecting the occupants to the exterior environment and spiritually connecting us to the past, memories and emotion. Ultimately, architecture is an expression of values and the environment - the way we build is a reflection of the way we live.
